Securos Double Swaged Needles with a Nylon Loop enable the surgeon to pass the cruciate needle only once around the lateral fabella of the stifle to place 2 nylon sutures. Once placed the nylon loop is cut in the middle to allow final placement and crimping of the nylon suture.

By passing the cruciate needle only once, reduces trauma to the extracapsular stifle tissue and surgery time.

Securos Crimps are used for securing CCL nylon suture repair.

Crimping leaves a flat minimally intrusive join for suture ends compared with traditional knot tying that often causes seroma in the area of the knot and greater tissue irritation.
