4x 10x 40x Objectives that suit microscopes with an ∞ (Infinity) symbol on the objectives including Olympus CX21, CX22, CX31 type microscopes.

• There are 2 main types of objectives that you need to differentiate between. Look on the side of the objective for either of the following 2 sets of numbers to figure this out. Look at the example below to help determine this:
  • 100x /1.25   160/0.17 objective (160mm Tube Length microscope objective)
  • 100x/1.25     ∞/0.17 objective  (Infinity microscope objectives)

• Make sure that you determine which of these you need. Send us picture if you are not sure.
• If you use the wrong objective you will feel that the focus is never quite right.

Always use good quality immersion oil for your 100x Oil Objective. Using thin oils such as paraffin will lead to oil getting inside of the seal at the bottom of the objective and a field that always looks out of focus or dirty. Never put your other objectives into oil; if you do inadvertently be sure to clean off quickly.

Ensure that you always clean your oil objective after every use. Do not leave the oil objective sitting in oil for extended periods.
